Continued misunderstanding of psychiatric phenomena

Post a Problem
The stigma of mental illness has started to crack, but much remains. Likewise, many individuals are sceptical of psychiatric remedies, actually believing that these remedies -- which in truth, when used properly, are life saving -- do more harm than good.

Individuals afraid to seek treatment, either because they fear being condemned as "crazy" or because they are afraid of the treatments themselves, are left to suffer at the mercy of debilitating conditions like depression and anxiety. What can we do to raise awareness of the healthy remedies available -- and make individuals comfortable seeking treatment?
