Capitalizing on New Capital |
 |
|
Around the world, communities have a wide variety of alternative currencies in use, but those currencies may languish at the economic fringes, failing to attract enough attention to provide value beyond a handful of individuals. The question, then, is how societies can capitalize on currency innovations to foster community development. This question become particularly pertinent when a country's mainstream economy is in shambles or when a given community simply operates largely in isolation from its motherland.
